Carolyn and Gillys wedding
I’ve known Gilly and Caroline for a few years and they are two of the loveliest most genuine people you could ever meet, so I was chuffed to bits when they asked me to photograph their wedding.
This wedding was always going to be fun and focussed on friends and family and not fancy shoes and chair covers. This was in my opinion how a wedding should be. Carolyn and Gilly are very good friends with all their neighbours so it was perfect to hold the ceremony in their neighbour’s garden.
All their closest friends and family were present and they had a wonderful blessing. A chap sang a hilarious song about Gilly coming home with her “work boots on”
The only thing I would have changed about the wedding is the good old Yorkshire weather. Just as the blessing had finished the heavens opened and the rain started to come down.
The newlyweds had organised a vintage bus to take them down to their favourite restaurant which is the fabulous Gimbals in Sowerby Bridge.
Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away and it was a perfect day for a perfect couple.
Congratulations Gilly & Caroline :-)
