Huddersfield Family photo session
Family coming over from Australia, eleven people in total including two grandparents, four adults, three boys and two babies. What could go wrong? That was the brief for this family shoot.
I met up with the gang at Beaumont Park in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. When I do family shoots I try to keep It as natural and as fun as possible and not do loads of posing. This shoot the mother in-law really wanted a couple of group photos which is fine but most of the pictures were completely unposted.
We started off in the playground where the boys ran around like whirling dervishes. I had my work cut out trying to keep up with them. There were also other kids in the park so I was trying to avoid photographing other folk. It didn’t take me long to work out their personalities however I kept on forgetting their names in fact I kept calling one of them “Batman”.
After the playground, we chilled out with a few group shots before heading down the beautiful bandstand that is in Beaumont Park. After a few more group shots it was time for an impromptu game of cricket, everyone relaxed and got involved in the game and I documented the occasion.
It was a lovely day and I really enjoyed photographing everyone, one baby slept through the whole thing but other than that it was a success.
Check out the pictures and slideshow.
Give me a shout if you fancy a fun, family photo session.
