Jenny and Steve wedding
I loved every second of Jenny and Steve’s wedding at the stunning Oulton Hall, West Yorkshire. The second I met Jenny and Steve I knew that I wanted to photograph their wedding. They were just one of those couples that were very genuine. Jenny was very clear that she didn’t want a wedding with any posed pictures and Steve did what he was told, so I was very happy with that arrangement.
It was a very intimate wedding, in fact there were only 34 guests in attendance but that certainly didn’t stop anyone from having FUN. It just meant that I could blend in, one guest thought I was part of the family which is a huge compliment.
Jenny looked stunning in her dress and I know she received amazing customer service from Kerensa at Bijou Bridal Boutique. The day was filled with laughing and joking but very chilled out. Somehow, they ended up having 3 lots of confetti chucked at them as people kept on missing it. The afternoon was very chilled out and full of very happy faces (probably because everyone was charging their drinks to the groom) After the wedding breakfast and speeches, it was party time! Steve had insisted on having a black jack and roulette table, so he was very happy gambling pretend money. The first dance was hilarious, Steve is a 6-foot 5 scaffolder so not the daintiest person that I’ve ever met. They did the usual 10 second shuffle before he hoisted his bride and span round her, somehow the pictures made it look elegant, but it was highly amusing.
James Barlow The Wedding Singer (no relation) did a fantastic job with a mixture and singing and playing some tunes. He ended the night with a Take That song (no relation) which was ACE! The whole day was fabulous, everyone loved it (including me) and I was really made to feel part of the family.
Congratulations Jenny and Steve
