Stuart and Tori wedding
I don’t often get nervous about photographing wedding’s but this one was a little different. This was the wedding of one of my best friend’s Stuart who I’ve known for about 30 years (no pressure then)
I headed over to Stuart’s house early doors where my good friend Ste (I also shot his wedding) was working his magic in the kitchen. He cooked a fried breakfast so it would have been rude not to indulge. The bride had provided a jobs list for the lads so it was amusing to watching my friend Neil washing prams wheels.
The whole day was taking place at the fabulous Woodlands Hotel in Leeds. I arrived there and went in to see the bride Tori. It was nice to be at a wedding where I knew a good 50 percent of the guests so the whole day was very friendly.Stuart being typical Stuart decided that his dog Stanford was going to be the ring bearer and he did a fabulous job. The ceremony was very relaxed and concluded with the bride and groom walking down the aisle whilst all the guests chucked confetti at them.
The afternoon was lovely, it was the first sunshine for quite some time so it nice to feel some sun on the skin. We all briefly headed inside to listen to the jazz band “Ain’t that Jazz” who were fabulous musicians. The marquee looked fabulous and was taken over with some huge letters MR & MRS G, the speeches were very amusing and when the best man told the bride to “pipe down” I nearly wet myself.
The evening was fuelled with lots of dancing and there were some great shapes on the dancefloor being thrown. After the music was finished I thought I was done but nope, loads of guests and the groom headed to the piano for a bit of a sing song. It was a lovely day and an interesting experience for me to wear two hats.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs G.
