Personal brand shoot with Brandlink, Honley, West Yorkshire

A week ago I met up with Andy from Brandlink for a little personal brand photoshoot in Honley, West Yorkshire. This was for his business listing for the Honley website that I am the photographer for.

Planning

Before any shoot I usually come up with a little plan, The Honley shoots are fabulous as before I do a shoot I receive amazing copy from the fabulous Jeanette from CopyWrite (check out her shoot here). Jeanette is so great and when I receive the descriptions that she sends me I immediately know what pictures I need to represent the business and to tell the story.

Brandlink

Andy lives and breathes golf so it’s no surprise that his business is about golf. There are three different aspects to Brandlink and these are:
1 – Sells golf products to the consumer.
2 – Sells golf products to golf clubs
3 – Runs golf charity days and corporate events

Location

It was a no brainer that I needed to head out to a golf course to photograph Andy. These shoots for Honley are only mini-brand shoots so usually no longer that forty minutes.

I met up with Andy at Woodsome Golf Course which is a beautiful and busy golf club. Unfortunately, the weather was being typically Yorkshire and was looking like the heavens would open at any given moment.

We decided that I would photograph his products first, so we took over the putting green and I got wet laying down photographing lots of different products which represented the three parts of Brandlink.

After the products, I knew that I needed to get a few pictures of Andy as he is the man behind the business and people buy from people. As soon as I started the rain came and it started to pour down. I took a few portraits in literally five minutes and the shoot was done.
