Personal brand shoot with Open Law Solicitors

Open Law Solicitors Honley, Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire
A few months ago I had a personal brand shoot with Open Law Solicitors in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire. Well, I say Slaithwaite, this was for the Honley website. When I arrived at the Honley branch they insisted that I had to head over to the Slaithwaite branch as it was a much nicer premises, they forgot to mention this to me during the planning phase. Not the best start to a shoot and the shoots for Honley are only quick anyway so with a fifteen minutes journey the clock was ticking.
Stunning offices
When I did arrive at Slaithwaite, I could see why they had insisted on a change of location. The offices were stunning. I had another shoot booked straight after this one so time was really ticking, I had to come up with a plan of how I could shoot six solicitors, capture the offices and a little bit of detail in about twenty minutes as the next shoot I had planned was back over at Honley (where I had just been)
No time for faffing
We headed straight into the board room and I got straight into it. I had not met any of these people before so it was in at the deep end. The Honley site is all about people as people buy from people. My idea was to capture peoples personalities. I asked everyone to sit down and looked for the ones who seemed the least nervous. I just asked them to tell a funny story whilst I just captured peoples reactions. After a few minutes, people forgot I was there and I could just do what I do best. Once I knew that I had enough pictures of certain people, I just changed them around so I could capture everyone.
Just a few more
After the boardroom shots I had a few more minutes to spare so I went into one of the solicitors offices. He had a couple of Chesterfield sofas in their so I just asked everyone to participate in a little informal meeting so I could capture them. A few bits of detail captured and it was time to leave.
Chucking the teddy out
With this shoot I could have easily have chucked the teddy out of the pram. I could only imagine the bill that I would have received if this was the reverse and a solicitor was messed about. However, I’m not that type of person, I just wanted to make this shoot work. As I had another shoot booked in after, I wasn’t going to be late for that person as it wouldn’t be fair, instead I just had to make quick decisions and make it work.
Fortunately we came out with some good pictures and everyone was happy.
