Sarah + Joe. East Keswick Village Hall, Leeds
I've known Sarah and Joe for quite some time so I was very excited that they asked me to photograph their wedding. Sarah and Joe were also having their reception at one of my favourite venues the wonderful East Keswick Village Hall, near Leeds. I headed over to Sarah's house to meet with her and team bride. Everyone was very excited and it was a lovely atmosphere, there seemed to be bridesmaids absolutely everywhere. The wedding ceremony was to take place at the wonderful St Mary's Church which was just around the corner which is a good job as Sarah does seem to be a little flexible when it comes to punctuality. The ceremony was lovely, they even had a classical acoustic guitar dude playing some tunes. When we got out of the church the rain was pouring so everyone just dashed to their cars to head over to East Keswick Village Hall.
The Hall looked beautiful and everyone was in great spirits. Even the sun decided to come out so people played football and games on the grass whilst other folk mingled. I do love a good DIY, Village Hall wedding. As always the speeches were fab, team-best men managed to do a good job of ribbing Joe which is a bonus and makes great pictures. The whole day was absolutely brilliant with a mixture of laughs and tears, more laughs if I'm honest but it was just fun. In the evening they had booked a local band DMA who played some great tunes and got the whole place bouncing. Lots of people got drunk and danced and it was a perfect day.
Congratulations Sarah and Joe and thanks very much for booking me to photograph your wedding I loved every second of it.
