Brighouse Dinosaur Day 25

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being the official photographer at The Brighouse Dinosaur Day. It's always great to photograph in Brighouse, and I was doing this for the Brighouse Bid, which is always a good thing.

I set off in the morning to see some of the store holders. It's great to see so many stalls, and some of them were attracting crowds, especially the birds of prey stall.

My main brief was to capture the dinosaurs. These were fantastic, person-operated, roaming dinosaur costumes that looked incredibly realistic. They appeared out of a ginnel and then ran around getting up to all sorts of mischief. The dinosaurs present were a Velociraptor, Triceratops, baby dinosaurs, and ride-on dinosaurs. My personal favourite was the first time the velociraptor came out as it ran around causing lots of chaos.

It was great to see Brighouse get so busy, and the market stalls were thriving. I love capturing this kind of thing, and I go into documentary photography mode. The whole day was fantastic; the kids loved the dinosaurs, and the adults secretly enjoyed them.

Have a look at some of my favourite pictures from the day.

If you have any events that you would like me to photograph, please get in touch.
