Commercial documentary photography for Hue Cameras
A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be invited to a shoot for Hue Cameras. I was very fortunate that Dawn at Yorkshire Edit and Dave from The Digital Cortex asked me to come along and shoot stills.
The shoot was to take place at Brigshaw High School (which was terrific).
The central part of the shoot was the video, so I was photographing in a documentary style to capture how the camera is used in a busy school setting.
I arrived with Dave, who had brought so much kit that we filled up two trolleys, which we had to push around all day. The video, which can be seen in this blog post here
Dawn was the director, Dave was filming, and I had to capture pictures as the video was happening, so it was fascinating.
Because it was a school, we played it safe, and they didn't want me photographing students, which was a shame. It was fascinating to find out how I could capture enough content without showing student reactions and keep the pictures fresh.
The shoot was great; we visited numerous different classrooms, and I was impressed by how accommodating the school was. It was also lovely to help Dave out with some equipment lugging and offer some lighting tips.
I'm looking forward to my next mission with Dave and Dawn.
Here are some pictures from the shoot.
If you have an interesting shoot idea, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
