Brand photography for Wedding Venue Lighting

A few weeks ago, I headed over for a photo shoot with the fabulous Matt from Wedding Venue Lighting in Cleckheaton. When we had a couple of messages on LinkedIn, Matt mentioned that he would love to have a shoot with his new car, a VW Buzz ID.

I met up with Matt at his warehouse, which is a considerable size. I have known Matt for years, and I was surprised to see the size and quantity of equipment he has. After a little look around, I started to create a few pictures with him. There are never loads of beautiful backgrounds in an industrial estate in Bradford, but I always find something. After making a few images using the garage doors and similar ones, I spotted an old rusty machine in a field. I always used to photograph rusted farm machinery, so they excited me.

After I had taken a few headshots, it was time for the main event. I wanted to create some pictures with the VW Buzz ID, some lights and illuminated letters, and tell a story in one image of what Matt does. I had to wait for the evening to set in so we could see the lights. The weather was warm, and it was paradise for midges, so I did get attacked by the little blighters and also had to erase them from my final images.

Matt was brilliant; we had a great laugh and got some good pictures.
